So if you’re buying a gift for your 1-year-old, there is a really cute saying I saw on social media that serves a s guide to keep us in check. It goes “1 thing they want, 1 thing they need, 1 thing they wear, 1 thing they read.” It’s not hard to find something for a 1 year old to wear but we’re going to give you an idea of some cute options for clothes for a 1 year old. If you need ideas for what your 1 year old wants, needs, or reads then check out our other posts.
So what do 1 year olds wear?
1) Pajamas and slippers- We love having pajama days at home. Pick them something out with their favorite characters or something cute and cool. You can get a 2 piece, bottoms and a top, or a 1 piece, footie pajamas. Don’t forget the matching slippers. Babies in slippers are so cute.
2) Clothes- Of course every kid needs clothes. They grow so fast and play so much, they will go through clothes often. Get them something with cool style or fun patterns!
3) Weather appropriate accessories- So if you are gifting in the winter then maybe a hat, gloves, and scarf set. If you are gifting in the spring then maybe a pair of rainboots and a raincoat. If you are gifting in the summer then maybe a swimsuit, sandals, and cute sunglasses.
4) Jewelry- Some parents like to buy their little ones a pretty gold bracelet or a cute pair of studs for their ears. Im so afraid that they’d chew on the bracelet all day or pick at the studs until they fell out and then try to put them in their mouth. My kids are big mouthers. Which makes them perfect candidates for teething jewelry. There are teething necklaces and bracelets that look like cute accessories.
